A modern digital presence designed to support growth, fundraising, and community engagement for a Ukrainian cultural organisation. The project covered brand identity refinement, website design and build, and establishing a foundation for ongoing content management.
The challenge was to create something that felt credible and contemporary to outside audiences — funders, community members, and new visitors — without losing the warmth and cultural authenticity that existing members recognised as Desna.
Deliverables
Identity
The identity refinement focused on creating a logo system with clear variations suited to different contexts — from website header to social media, print collateral, and embroidered merchandise.
Colour, type, and form were chosen to signal both cultural pride and organisational maturity — making Desna feel like an institution worth engaging with and supporting.
Website
The site was designed with clear content structure, intuitive navigation, and a layout that makes it easy for the organisation's team to maintain and update independently.
Key priorities were performance, accessibility compliance, and full responsiveness across devices — ensuring the site worked for every audience, including those on older hardware or slower connections.
Outcome
The new identity and website gave Desna a credible, contemporary digital presence — one that supports fundraising conversations, communicates the organisation's purpose clearly to new audiences, and gives existing members something to feel proud of.
By establishing a scalable foundation with content management at its core, the organisation can grow and evolve without needing to return to a designer for routine updates.
