A unified identity and refined website for one of the leading Ukrainian Dance groups in Toronto — designed to support growth, fundraising, and community engagement.
As a Ukrainian Dance organisation, Desna needed an identity and digital presence that felt credible and contemporary to outside audiences — funders, community members, and new visitors — without losing the warmth and cultural authenticity that existing members recognised.
The project covered brand identity refinement, website design and build, and establishing a foundation for ongoing content management and growth.
Approach
The identity refinement focused on creating a logo system with clear variations suited to different contexts — from website header to social media, print collateral, and embroidered merchandise. The website was designed with clear content structure, intuitive navigation, and a layout that makes it easy for the organisation's team to maintain and update independently, with performance, accessibility, and full responsiveness as key priorities.
"The new identity gave Desna something we didn't know we were missing — a presence that matches the quality of the work our dancers put on stage. Our community felt it immediately."

Here's How It Looks
How We Did It
Starting from the existing logo, the identity was refined to work across a wider range of contexts — digital, print, merchandise, and social — with clear variations for the Company and School.
The site was built on a platform that gives the Desna team full control over content updates, with a design system establishing typographic hierarchy, colour, and component patterns.
A credible, contemporary digital presence that supports fundraising conversations, communicates the organisation's purpose clearly, and gives existing members something to feel proud of.
